QA Engineer - Automation - Perm Role

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Automation QA Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in web and mobile application testing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software quality while working closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

* Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts for web and mobile applications.
* Design and implement automation testing frameworks using Java or Python.
* Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
* Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
* Participate in requirement analysis and test planning to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Continuously improve test automation processes and testing efficiency.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
* 2-3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
* Experience in web and mobile application testing.
* Proficiency in Java and/or Python for test automation.
* Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or similar).
* Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in Cantonese with good English communication skills.

Preferred Skills

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI).
* Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
* Experience with version control tools such as Git.
