Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure/Kubernetes) - Oslo

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience. You'll join a highly technical engineering team responsible for a cloud-native platform running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), with infrastructure and deployment configuration managed through Terraform and Nix.

This is a strategically important hire. Environment configuration and SRE bottlenecks have been a key contributor to delivery delays across multiple workstreams, and our client is investing heavily in strengthening their platform capabilities. You'll play a crucial role in improving reliability, streamlining deployments, and enabling engineering teams to move faster.

Responsibilities

* Own and manage cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure
* Administer and optimise production AKS environments
* Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
* Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
* Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency
* Collaborate closely with software engineers to enhance developer productivity and deployment processes
* Reduce configuration-related bottlenecks and improve engineering workflows
* Support and evolve platform tooling, automation, and operational practices

Required Skills

* Strong Linux background
* Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, including:

* Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* Networking
* Storage

* Production Kubernetes administration and operations experience
* Strong Terraform expertise
* Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working with AI-assisted coding and development tools
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within an English-speaking team

Nice to Have

* Nix/NixOS experience
* Kafka operations experience
* Gerrit
* Experience improving developer experience, build systems, and internal tooling
* Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering background
