    Job Description



    Working with joint venture aimed at accelerating the discovery of new medicines in the pharmaceutical sector. The computing infrastructure is hosted in AWS, and uses a wide range of services including CloudFormation, S3, ECS/ECR, Batch, CloudWatch, SQS, and Lambdas. Python for deployments, data wrangling etc, and Docker with ECR/ECS for pipeline execution. Looking for a DevOps/ Software/ Infrastructure/ Cloud engineer with solid AWS experience to help maintain, operate, and develop the data analytics infrastructure.

    You will be part of the technical and operations team for the pipeline infrastructure. Responsible for both the day-to-day reliability of the system, and for making changes in a sustainable way. You will propose, plan and help to deliver strategic improvements, including changes to infrastructure, development tooling, shared environments and data sharing, and electronic lab notebook integration.



    Key Responsibilities:

    * Act as technical lead for the analytics pipeline infrastructure.
    * Contribute to strategic improvements,
    * Make iterative improvements, focusing on automation and low-maintenance modular design.
    * Build and share expertise, particularly in infrastructure and AWS cloud services.

    A fantastic new opportunity for a Lead / Principle Full Stack Developer to join a fast growing technology start up. You will contribute to transforming the world of mobile network through cutting edge technology, AI and IoT. Using cloud-based AI, machine learning and advanced technology the company make a huge contribution to improving the climate. An example of their success was when they successfully saved CO2 by 52% and reduced costs by 33% in South Africa.

    Currently they have an external development team but are looking to eventually bring everyone in house. You will be working alongside the team and closely with the CSO, to plan out technical decisions for the company and contribute to improving climate change.

    A strong self-starter who is confident to bring ideas to the table is essential. The technology stack is flexible, as long as you have advanced full stack development experience with JavaScript frameworks and Python (front and back end), as well as use of cloud technologies.

    The position is remote but you will be required to meet the team in London once every two weeks. Candidates based in and around London is preferred.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * Lead the new in house software team.
    * Be involved in the architect and implementation of the full stack platform.
    * Build modern cloud based software.
    * Integrating with client systems.

    Skills & Qualifications

    * Strong full-stack experience: Python or JavaScript frameworks
    * Modern HTML and CSS
    * Experience with one or more of the common frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Express, Flask, etc)
