Full-stack Systems Engineer


Looking for a DevOps Engineer to be part of a Democratic Non-profit organization. The ideal candidate is preferred to have a general appreciation for the party the company backs.

Location: Boston,MA

Contract Type: 6 Month Contract then convert

Pay: $80-$100 Hourly based on experience

Start Date: ASAP

Industry: Real Estate

Interview Process:

1 Video Technical Interview (30 min) with Lead Engineer
2 Onsite Interview (4 hours) - Meet with Project Manager, VP, & Engineer Team





Responsibilities

* Building applications for our customers and internal business stakeholders
* Be responsible for developing and executing our enterprise technology strategy and roadmap by leveraging skills such as system design and architecture, requirements gathering, development, QA, documentation, and testing
* Be our subject matter expert and internal champion for enterprise applications
* Plan and define quarterly and yearly roadmaps, and creating KPIs for managing your projects
* Lead initiatives involving business and technology teams to refine and develop implementation specs
* Facilitate data and corporate governance best practices with your business stakeholders



Minimum Qualifications

* 2+ years experience in Go
* 2+ years of experience with React
* Strong AWS experience (EC2, EB, S3, IAM, Lambda)

Qualifications cont.

* BS in CS or equivalent experience
* 5+ years experience with other server-side languages such as Java and Python
* 5+ years of experience in Javascript and CSS
* 5+ years of experience in writing complete, well-tested, database-driven web applications, working with microservice architectures while following information security best practices
* RESTful API design, iPaaS, and SaaS experience
* Relational database architecture experience (Postgres preferred)
* Familiarity with a wide range of SaaS applications
* Demonstrated experience as a technical leader with cross-team impact
* Strong consensus-building skills, and a sense of customer service
* Strong project management skills

Preferred But Not Required

* S. in Computer or Software Engineering
* Experience with working with Netsuite and Salesforce, or other ERP system

This person will be responsible for building and releasing all of their projects, as well as deploying them in a cloud setting. Role & Responsibilities

* Build out micro services, containers, and data pipelines with a data security mindset while meeting all regulations and governance
* Assist in full stack development of Applications while working collaboratively with multiple teams
* Work in a completely cloud based environment with terabyte sized data sets

Skills & Qualifications

* At least 1 year of experience with one or more cloud service (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
* Experience working with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, HBase, Flume, Kinesis, Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) as well as experience maintaining, supporting and creating a Data Warehouse. This person will be expected to understand all aspects of data engineering and analytics, as well as have troubleshooting and debugging experience. The team focus is analyzing data sources (internally and externally) to build systems that enhance investment professionals' processes.

Role & Responsibilities

* Develop and support on prem and cloud data warehouses for clients
* Enhance & Support data pipelines
* Work with investment professionals in the finance sector to create modern data and predictive tools
* Help to create a data flow and strategic roadmap to leverage new Streaming technologies to be used by investment professionals
* Work with cloud migration team

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with medium to large scale data structures/data lakes
