Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Job Type: Contract to Hire (C2C or W2)

Duration: 6 Months (C2H)

Location: 100% Remote

Industry: Finance



Core Responsibilities:

* Work on different project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
* Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and Engineering teams to meet expected customer service levels
* Perform hands-on activities involved in creating cloud infrastructure components, migrating from, or integrating with on-premises services, and developing self-service tooling and metrics to empower delivery teams' autonomy
* Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure
* Help align development and QA requirements with the capabilities of the infrastructure Anticipate future infrastructure needs and offer solutions
* Participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing management for infrastructure tooling and operations
* Serve in an on-call team and as an escalation contact for service trouble incidents
* Design optimizations to meet the scalability and performance needs of the organization



Experience:

* Linux and/or Unix administration, configuration, and in-depth troubleshooting

* Administering mission-critical and large-scale web application

* Experienced with AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, ECS, CloudWatch) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.

* Track record of successful implementation experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform

* Strong system monitoring capabilities using AWS CloudWatch and DataDog or similar tools such as New Relic etc.

* Relational and non-relational clustered DB experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Mongo)

* Proficient with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, CloudFormation

* Very strong programming ability in at least one scripting or shell language, such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and/our the Bourne Again shell

* Experience with daily use of Git

* Disaster recovery planning and implementation

* Proficient with networking for a cloud-based Internet application (load balancing, reverse proxies, DNS, CDN's, firewalls, security applications)



Nice to haves:

* Experienced with Information Security compliance, including SOC-2 or PCI compliance preparation

* Experience with financial systems or loan origination systems

Sr. Full Stack Engineer (AWS) | $175K+ | Remote

Our client is a rapidly-growing AWS ISV Partner, looking to bring on an experienced Full Stack Engineer for a brand new role. This position is a leading role on their growing Engineering team and handles a range of will be responsible for developing and working on back-end and front-end components of our products, as well as regularly diving into front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and AWS cloud environment.

Job Requirements:

* Excellent understanding of AWS tools/services - AWS Lambda serverless a plus
* Design and develop RESTful services and APIs for internal and external consumption.
* JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React - MUST HAVE
* Backend - Java - MUST HAVE, Python Scala a plus
* Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Design and implement Complex backend containerized and serverless microservices on AWS while leveraging AWS Lambda and Docker Containers.
* Kafka, Apache Spark is a plus
* Experience working for another AWS ISV Partner or SaaS-based company - nice to have.

DevOps Manager | AWS Partner | $200K+ fully-remote

A n established AWS client we're working with is looking to hire a DevOps Manager to join their team (remotely), and lead

Job Responsiblities & Technical Reqs:

* Lead the operations of the core infrastructure (including AWS and Kubernetes), coordinate automation/tooling requirements across all of engineering and IT, and oversee the health of the core data storage platforms.
* Engage with product and engineering teams to design, build and maintain the system / software for high availability and resiliency
* Guide the evolution of the core infrastructure to support hundreds of billion near real-time events processed per month
* Coordinate roadmap and planning for the team
* Mentor junior and senior engineers on operational best practices for architecture, implementation, and operation of large-scale cloud systems

* Excellent understanding of AWS tools/services - EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.
* Expert level knowledge of AWS and at least one configuration management systems (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, etc)
* Programming experience with one or more relevant languages: Java, Python, Scala
* Hands-on leading CI/CD pipeline development using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar frameworks.
* Experience delivering real-time distributed computing systems, preferably SaaS in a micro-service and/or serverless (e.g., Lambda) architecture.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, Highly collaborative working style
