One of my best clients (a rapidly growing biotechnology company) in Seattle, WA is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This company has their own product built on AWS, and they use genetics studies to find new ways to treat disease and develop new drugs, developing therapies that will improve global health by studying the genes of people who are outliers for medically relevant traits. They were founded in 2018, recently received $25mil in funding, and are looking for this candidate to come onsite 3 days/week.



Desired Skills:

- Full Stack development experience - 3+ years

- Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, HTML, & CSS development experience

- AWS experience in a Serverless environment (Lambda preferred)

- RDS, Aurora, or MySQL experience

Backend Engineer - UK FULLY REMOTE

My client are on the hunt for an experienced Mid & Senior Backend Engineers who will play an instrumental part in creating a brand new world-leading, cross platform IP played by millions of gamers. You will be part of a skilled core server side team, who are tasked with the creation of highly scalable systems built for consistency and low latency. The size and dynamic of this team will grant you considerable responsibility and autonomy in tasks and the design and implementation of their architecture.



Here's what you will be doing:

* Form the core of their Game Server Engineering team developing an incredible cross platform product.
* Develop a deep understanding of the infrastructure and services that will be used to run an MMO game service.
* Planning and reporting project milestones and timescales on a continuous basis to all those involved.
* Work closely with the rest of the Engineering team, defining and implementing key technical goals as well as goals and concepts to bring teams to the next level
* Assist in the construction of platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network system design, and large-scale storage systems.
* Implement tools that empower our Game-Design teams to create new and exciting gameplay experiences
* Load test, monitor, profile & optimise game servers
* Prioritise technical tasks and work with the team to plan for development

To do this job, you will need:

* Professional experience ideally for 4+ years.
* Experience in developing highly available back-end systems and servers for large-scale games or high-traffic web systems.
* Experience building robust solutions with a test driven approach.
* Experience developing in Python, ideally using frameworks like Celery and Tornado.
* Strong knowledge of Unix-like operating systems.
* Experience with Redis (or other database systems), ORMs and migration scripts.
* Good understanding of how to prevent intrusions, injections, cheating etc.
* Good knowledge of networking i.e. TCP, HTTP, LB, NAT, WebSockets etc.
* Experience creating and working with a dockerized environment.

Sollten bestimmte Anomalien auftreten, so können entsprechende Maßnahmen ergriffen werden, sei es ein automatisierter Report an die zuständige Ärztin oder auch das Rufen des Notarztes. Dazu arbeitet das Unternehmen mit verschiedenen Kliniken deutschlandweit zusammen.

They are building a blockchain based, Distributed-Ledger solution that hopes to one day replace physical paper documents in the banking, legal and audit sectors; so plenty of innovation to be had!

Role & Responsibilities

* In this role you will take full authority over the company's AWS Account; optimising cloud architecture, extending their platform and fully utilising the serverless offerings that AWS provide
* Additionally, you will be tasked with making more sophisticated the current CI/CD procecures; optimising delivery pipelines, automating deployments and implementing high-level monitoring solutions
* As the company grows and expands into wider markets, this role will see you progress within the company and take up a chief role within the team

Skills & Qualifications

* AWS experience is a crucial requirement - very strong experience with your basics (EC2, EC2, S3, Lambda etc) - increased knowledge of more complex solutions is really valuable (FarGate, Cognito, CodePipeline etc)
* Strong experience with CI/CD technologies is highly valuable; Terraform, Vault, Ansible, Jenkins in particular
* Prior experience of working within banking/legal sectors, with domain knowledge pertaining to data handling, digital-signature solutions highly transferrable

Our Client are a UK based Strategy, Transformation, Data and Technology Consulting firm with a 30+ person Engineering team who solve complex problems through advanced technical solutions.

Working week - a mixture between Client work (4 days) and internal products/training (on a Friday) - the internal products / training is a chance for you to work on your own personal/professional development which may be exposure to new areas like ML, or participating in the approved paid certifications related to Data or Cloud (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect or Databricks, as an example)

The projects vary across a range of industries, but rest assured, you will never be expected to travel if on a remote contract (full-time contract) apart from the odd occasion to meet the Client.
