Role - Data Engineer / Data Modeler

Rate - £450-£500 (Outside IR35)

Contract Length - 6 Months

Location - Remote / Open to EU candidates

Start Date - ASAP

Interview Stages - 2 stages

I am working with an exciting consultancy, that designs and builds digital banks across the globe. They are a team of technology experts from across the globe who know all about building digital banks. Whether it's building a brand-new digital bank from scratch or helping legacy institutions rebuild to meet the modern needs of consumers, they help clients build faster, better, and without the pitfalls that cost time and money.

The client develops and deploys the latest technology platforms, so the work gets to solutions faster and helps clients develop new ways of working so that they can deliver value for consumers. Their expertise is built on delivery, and they work side by side with clients throughout, to help build that awesome digital bank.

The Role

The role will focus on working with key stakeholders across the end client and the data platform team to design the structure, relationships, and attributes of data that will help build the bank's data warehouse and establish operational and regulatory reports.

You will need to be well-versed in Data Engineering, someone who can gather requirements, and create logical and physical data models but may also have some experience with tools such as airflow, DBT, and airbyte. Due to the makeup of the team already, the Data Modelling skills are probably the most important for this person though.

So, the team currently... They have had 3 people full-time on it with of course a few senior people as advisors doing a few days a month; Data Architect, Platform/Data Engineer, and the delivery Lead. Their job was to go in and scope out the immediate assessment of the current data estate, help with advising on the data strategy and approach to Data within the bank, and set up a full data team that would meet the current program requirements, which has now happened. They have just hired an additional Data/Platform Engineer, Data Engineer, and a Flink expert starting this week and next week but still need this additional person.

You must have

* Strong experience in Data Modelling and Data Engineering
* Experience gathering requirements and creating logical & physical data models.
* Experience with at least TWO of the following- Airflow, DBT, and Airbyte
