You'll Work With:

* Designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational, analytical, and regulatory workloads.
* Creating data architecture blueprints and defining modelling patterns (3NF, star schema, Data Vault).
* Embedding data quality and governance into pipelines and ensuring compliance with lineage, retention, and security policies.
* Leading architectural discovery, managing stakeholder alignment, and producing high-quality design artefacts.
* Overseeing delivery, providing technical guidance, and coaching teams on best practices.

Key Experience:

* Proven experience as a Data Architect or senior data professional.
* Expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and governance frameworks.
* Hands-on experience embedding data quality into pipelines.
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, BigQuery).
* Ability to produce high-quality architectural artefacts and manage stakeholder complexity.
* Experience in regulated sectors is advantageous.

AWS Data Architect - London/Remote - £500/pd

Please note - this role will require you to be UK based with the unrestricted right to work in the UK. You must be willing to work on-site in London as required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, develop, and govern our enterprise data landscape. This is a critical role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security across multiple platforms and systems. If you thrive on building robust data ecosystems and delivering impactful solutions, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures.
* Define and enforce data governance standards, including data quality and metadata management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives.
* Oversee data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and pipeline orchestration.
* Optimize data storage solutions across relational, NoSQL, and data lake environments.
* Leverage AWS data platforms and services to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
* Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in big data and distributed computing.

Required Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a senior data-focused role.
* Expertise in data modelling techniques and tools.
* Strong knowledge of data storage solutions (relational, NoSQL, data lakes).
* Hands-on experience with data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes.
* Proficiency in AWS data platforms and services.
* Solid understanding of data governance principles (data quality, metadata, access control).
* Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and distributed computing.
* Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java).

Additional Requirements

* Immediate availability for an October start.
* Must be UK-based with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
* Comfortable with occasional travel to London for on-site meetings.
