    Head of Data Deployment & Risk Management

    Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)

    An international financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Data Deployment & Risk Management to lead the safe and efficient testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale data initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of complex technical projects, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality requirements while managing risk and fostering innovation.

    The Role

    This position plays a critical part in shaping the future of the organisation's data capabilities. The Head of Data Deployment & Risk Management will collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise, including technology teams, business leaders, and external partners, to ensure projects align with regulatory standards, security requirements, and strategic objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead the delivery and improvement of complex data and technology projects using Agile and Scaled Agile frameworks.

    Role Overview
    The Technical Delivery Lead will manage the end-to-end delivery life cycle of GCP-based data initiatives. This includes orchestrating teams, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with modern data principles and cloud best practices. The role emphasises leadership, stakeholder engagement, and proactive risk management rather than hands-on engineering.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead delivery of GCP-based data platform projects, ensuring strategic alignment and timely execution
    * Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, QA, and DevOps
    * Manage project phases from design through deployment, maintaining delivery velocity and quality
    * Facilitate retrospectives and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement
    * Collaborate with architects to evolve technical roadmaps and ensure platform scalability
    * Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders and PMO, identifying risks early

    Required Experience
