Principal//Lead Data Engineer/AWS Data Architect

Lead/Principal Data Engineer - (AWS Advanced Consulting Partner & GCP Premier Partner) - Remote - 220K



Our customer, an AWS Advanced consulting firm, is looking for a Principal Data Engineer who will serve as a technical lead on projects. This candidate must excel in management, communication, Data bricks and AWS.



Job Responsibilities:



* Use AWS to build enterprise-grade Big Data solutions
* Working in tandem with our architecture team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
* Create, and develop cloud-based data solutions
* Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
* Deploying and debugging cloud data initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development life cycle
* Employing problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems
* Build new cloud-based data pipelines
* Bring together multiple data sources into a unified data warehouse





Qualifications:



* AWS (Glue, Athena, Cloud Formation, Lambda, Red shift, S3)

* Other: Data bricks*, DBT, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Python, Spark (PySpark), SQL/NoSQL, Terraform, General DevOps Functions (i.e. CI/CD, Monitoring, Containerization, Micro services), etc.

* General Stack: Data Pipelines, ETL, Big Data, Data Architecture, Data Analytic, Data Warehousing, etc.





Nice to have:



* GCP cloud experience
* AWS and/or GCP certifications
* Consulting Background
