Java Developer- Midlevel

The position requires an engineer with strong Java skills and some SRE experience.

The candidate should have a good understanding of common developer tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git and Jenkins with a clear understanding of how to apply them to DevOps processes. The candidate must be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment with experience in scripting automation. Must have good communication skills as the candidate will be required to liaise with and support developers, gather requirements, document support and user guides and assist with on-boarding to engineered solutions.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

3+ years experience as a java developers (preferably with a financial background)
Understanding of programming best practices
Shell Programming/scripting
Web based development (HTML, Javascript, JSP, Servlets, Springboot)
Git, Jenkins

Beneficial Skills:

Experience with the Atlassian JIRA or Confluence API and SDK
Understanding of application lifecycle management
Maven, Containers, DevOps
Oracle
Confluence, Bitbucket, ELK, Testing Frameworks
