SC/NPPV Cleared Test Manager | Outside IR35 | 6 months + extension | Remote/Occasional Travel - London

Candidates MUST have a valid MPS or Warwickshire NPPV 2 or 3 clearance or at least an active SC clearance!

Jefferson Frank are proud to be supporting a large consultancy who are the global leaders in digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud and high-performance computing. We are in pursuit of a Test Manager for a long term contract.

Responsibilities:

Negotiating the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort.
Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources.
Assessing the progress and efficiency of the test effort.
Advocating the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of meaningful defects.
Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process.



Required Skills:

* Minimum 10 years testing experience with at least 3 years of Test Management experience
* Planning, resource assignment, management skills
* At least 5 years' experience working within large public sector organization's managing the full end to end testing programme
* Experience of working within the government environment and deep knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and guidelines
* Well versed in Testing techniques, tools, and latest trends, including SW engineering processes and automation
* Produce end to end Test strategy and test approach
* Experience in writing Test Level Plans
* Experienced in test planning & execution with Agile, Waterfall & Devops methodologies
* Ensure that requirements are managed end to end and ensure that traceability is maintained
* Oversee test execution results and defects tracker
* Manage defects and ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner to ensure these meet the programme timeline
* Produce summary report of testing status, defect status, corrective actions for major defects and RAG status at programme level with input from workstream
* Creation of Test Level Exit Reports
* Experience of Managing Test Transition Projects including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
* Must have led testing activities in various projects, with teams up to 20 resources, ideally within a Distributed Delivery environment
* Flexible, with good communication and analytical skills
* Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process
* Experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques, and tools
* Manage a team of Testers across multiple small teams
* Good people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills
