Senior Backend Developer - Node and AWS

A leading Visual Effects studio in London is recruiting for a Senior Backend Developer specialising in AWS and Node. The role will be working within a small team of engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on greenfield projects and enhancement of existing applications.



Responsibilities for the role will include:

* Working extensively on maintaining and scaling a proprietary RESTFUL serverless platform built using Typescript on AWS lambda.
* Migrating existing platforms over to an AWS serverless architecture.
* Working extensively with AWS media services.
* Playing a senior role in architectural design and advising on best tech stack/tooling.
* Leveraging existing internal platform infrastructure to develop greenfield services in Typescript.
* Working within an agile environment with modern delivery practices.



The successful candidate will have at least 8 years' commercial development experience with more than 3 years' experience working with Typescript, Node and AWS. A strong knowledge of DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, API Gateways, Lambda and IAM roles and policies is essential.
