SC Cleared GCP DevOps Engineer (12 Month Contract)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SC Cleared GCP DevOps Engineer to join one of our Clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in DevOps methodologies, experience in GCP, and possess an active SC Clearance.

As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on GCP for our enterprise clients.



Key Responsibilities:

* Design, implement and maintain GCP infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure changes using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
* Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions on GCP using tools such as Stackdriver, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
* Identify and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, networking, and security on GCP.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
* Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical production incidents.

Requirements:

* Active SC Clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
* Strong experience in GCP.
* Proven experience in infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
* Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
* Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience in monitoring and logging solutions on GCP using tools such as Stackdriver, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical production incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Google Cloud Certified Professional DevOps Engineer.
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
* Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices.
* Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
* Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
