Role description:

My client is a world-leading domain name registry. Operating at the heart of internet infrastructure, they protect public services from cyber threat.

As a Platform Engineer you will work as part of a brand new Platform team, tasked with designing, building and operating a new DNS solution platform which will be critical infrastructure supporting the core of the internet globally. This platform running on private cloud will be the cornerstone of our DNS operations and will be responsible for powering our registry, our cyber security product and more.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join us at the start of our technology transformation, shaping the platform that you will eventually manage. As the platform evolves, you will transition from the design phase to the critical stage of managing and operating it in a multi-environment production system, replacing outdated legacy services along the way.

Job Responsibilities:

-Building out our new Platform, development of Platform & supporting the platform.

-Hardware lifecycle and data centre hardware support, managing our estate across all sites.

-Servicing the platform, leveraging automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)

-Creating a highly available service, achieving more than 99.999% uptime.



Experience we are looking for:

-Expert knowledge of Linux

-Knowledge in virtualized environments, working on Linux/KVM Hypervisors

-Infrastructure as code, Ansible

-Enterprise-grade solutions, Satellite

-Hardware management

This role is predominantly remote, we work a hybrid working policy, 20% of your time onsite in office (Based in London), the remainder of your time you can work fully remote.
