Back End Engineer - Perm & Contract - Lithuania

The client I am working with is an Investor Services that is part of a large financial group, and they partner with over 400 loyal global investment firms to provide them with administration, asset services, banking and fund financing.

Job Description

You will be using your knowledge and skills to help us develop and maintain the existing code base for our existing cutting-edge platform as well as assist in building new features and products.

Reporting to the Associate Director, IT, Backend Chapter Lead You Will:

* Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
* Participate in planning, design, testing, and code review.
* Build rapid prototypes and work on fast-paced projects.
* Work effectively within a cross-functional multi-site team.
* Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
* Inspire and mentor junior engineers on best practices and professional conduct.

Qualifications

You Have:

* 4+ years of commercial experience in Python
* Must have at least 2 solid years of experience with Python as this is our primary programming language.
* Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL or similar).
* Proficient experience with software development tools such as Git and GitLab.
* Experience working with Linux operating systems.
* Experience working with Docker would be beneficial.
* Knowledge or experience with AWS cloud.
* Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems.
* Promotes working within an Agile environment using the Scrum framework.
