Front End Software Engineer | Remote | JS | React

Jefferson Frank are working with a leading HealthTech business that are working on a number of very exciting products and applications and are seeking an experienced Front End focussed Software Engineer to improve and scale product engineering experiences, work as a trusted member of a larger engineering team and provide expertise and guidance on delivery.

The Role:

You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building fast, scalable, and reliable software. You should have experience in building resilient and beautiful UI and applications using technologies such as React, Javascript, and build tools such as Vite and/or Webpack. In this role, you will be a key member of a core cross-functional production team. You will work on and ship websites, web applications and other digital solutions to clients.

Essential Skills:

* Work with UX Designers to ensure the products meet the standards
* Translate requirements into great, scalable software solutions
* Write maintainable, robust code, with test coverage and follow best practices
* Optimise web pages for maximum speed, scalability and security
* Maintain existing code bases and further develop to enhance the offering
* Develop high-quality, responsive layouts with the user in mind
* Input in the global CSS style framework to be used across all applications
* Work in an agile, collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Other:
* Excellent JavaScript skills with good knowledge of Vanilla.js, Node.js, & React.js
* Strong CSS compiler experience
* Experience with web components
* Experience with static site generators
* Experience with TDD/testing
* A good understanding of progressive enhancement & accessibility
* An understanding of lighthouse metrics and general frontend performance and optimization
* GIT Version Control knowledge
