The Role

As a result of the continuous increase in demand seen for the product. They're hiring a Lead Engineer to be the central foundation for a large team to be built around in the future. A core responsibility will be to provide technical oversight on the system architecture. Despite working in a Fullstack role, the chosen candidate will take ownership for the Frontend built with TypeScript & React. You'll become the go-to for any architecture issues in addition to coordinating project development across the tech stack & data science services.

The product is deployed on a serverless AWS system which the chosen candidate will have a technical, hands on role in managing. For these reasons, it's essential that you bring strong AWS & project management experience as you will work cross-functionally with Product Owners + Managers and Architects. You'll be expected to 'see the bigger picture', identify issues at the cause and use technical insight to prevent issues before they come up.

What they're looking for?

* Seasoned software developer with at least 5+ years working Fullstack with Python (FastAPI) & JavaScript (TypeScript, React).
* AWS experience working in product companies with scalable, cloud-based products. Strong experience with a host of services including CDK & RDS Lambda.
* Project Management experience, ideally coming from a position of technical oversight in the past, managing & moving forwards a cloud-native infrastructure/product.

* Ambitious with the ability to 'hit the ground running' and become highly accustomed to the product environment in a short period.
* Holistic thinker - able to understand the 'bigger picture' from an architecture perspective.
