Lead DevOps Architect

Job Role:

A leading IT and Technology consultancy are looking to bring you, a Lead DevOps Architect, on-board as a senior figure within a digital transformation project. Working for an end client who are one Britain's foremost telecommunications companies you will help lead the commitment to DevOps best practices, deployment and CI/CD implementation.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

* Demonstrable knowledge and ability in software defined infrastructure automation
* Cleared defined and expert commercial experience in designing applications on AWS, Azure &/or other Public Clouds (multi-cloud experience is a definite bonus)
* Demonstrable technical experience with Linux/UNIX systems and a thorough understanding of application deployment
* Commercial experience designing, deploying and working with MicroService based Architectures
* Expertise and talent when it comes to application design and implementation
* Full in-depth knowledge, experience and passion for Cloud Infrastructure design, build and implementation

Required Technical Expertise:

* Expert scripting ability with Python, Shell, Powershell and Ruby
* Commercial experience and familiarity with Jenkins, Sonar &/or Unit Testing and Bamboo
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Containerisation and mangement through the following tools: Docker, Docker Swarm Mesos/Marathon &/or Openshift
* Clear knowledge, expertise and experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as; Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM &/or Vagrant
* Up to date knowledge and ability with Networking concepts
* Pupet, Ansible &/or Chef Configuration management experience and expertise
* In-depth understanding of APIs and RESTful Services, including a working knowledge of multi-data provider integration
* Clear commercial experience utilising and implementing multiple databases, including: SQL, NoSQL and other relational data stores





Desired Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

* AWS/Azure Certifications
* Digital and Mobility Platforms like CMS or AEM experience

Soft Skills:

* This is a senior/leadership position so you should be able to demonstrate clear communication skills both written, verbally and articulated through other forms of presentation. You will also need to be a team player with adept problem solving skills
