IOS Developer

iOS Developer - Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary up to £60k DOE

The role will be development of existing new features and improving the stability of the iOS client. Your role will encompass the entire software development life-cycle, including requirements capture, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with a team to design and build new features for our iOS app
* Help maintain code quality, organisation and stability
* Improve the performance and responsiveness by refactoring older code
* Work closely with designers
* Working with beta testers, to gather feedback and insight

Required skills and experience:

* Have a strong background in Objective-C and Swift
* Be confident in your abilities to shape a platform with a huge user base
* In depth knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc
* Be passionate about making iOS apps that are simple and easy to use
* Have an understanding of the intricacies of iOS and its human interface guidelines

Optional skills and experience:

* Familiarity with issue tracking software such as JIRA
* Familiarity with Code Review process
* Writing and maintaining technical documentation
* Unit testing and TDD as well as automated testing
