Our client is the leading provider of artificial intelligence solutions for network service providers, utilising machine learning and real-world data to innovate in cybersecurity, device intelligence, and parental controls. Our goal is to empower network operators, enabling them to deliver superior and safer connected experiences to millions of households.

We are currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Interface team. In this role, your duties will include:

* Functioning as a versatile engineering member within the core interfaces team.
* Designing and implementing solutions, managing CI/CD pipelines, and overseeing service monitoring and alerting.
* Contributing to company-wide practices for developing secure, scalable, robust, and cost-efficient processing pipelines and analysis engines.
* Collaborating on the technical architecture of services within the team's responsibility, working alongside peers across the organisation.
* Mentoring and coaching less senior team members, fostering technical excellence.
* Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.

Required Technical Competencies:

* Proficiency in AWS services (ECS, ELB, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
* Expertise in running containerized and serverless applications in AWS, including Docker development.
* Experience in developing, deploying, and operating large-scale event-driven applications in multi-account, multi-region AWS deployments.
* Understanding of distributed systems observability techniques and monitoring/alerting systems.
* Solid grasp of writing/testing/deploying maintainable, highly reliable telco-grade software components in languages such as JS/TypeScript.
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform is a plus).
* Proficiency in building declarative automation pipelines with Jenkins in a multi-account, multi-region environment.
* Strong understanding of Git version control, development methodologies, and collaboration practices.

Preferred Competencies:

* AWS certifications (DevOps, Security, Solution Architect).
* Knowledge of messaging infrastructure systems (Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, AWS Kinesis).
* Hands-on experience with operating zero downtime systems under high loads.
* Understanding/knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana.
* Experience in debugging and troubleshooting business-critical production systems.
* Cost-awareness and understanding of monitoring costs and optimizing AWS cloud usage.
* Security-minded, with experience in securing AWS environments and familiarity with secure software development practices (STRIDE).
* Understanding of auto-scaling, self-healing concepts, and principles of building resiliency in distributed systems.
