Full Stack Linux Application Developer


Are you a passionate and skilled Full-Stack JavaScript developer looking to join an established team? Here, you will be working on embedded Linux applications for monitoring equipment in electrical networks.

The role will be largely JavaScript focused, using node.js to develop microservices on embedded Linux platforms. React.js will be used on Front-End to communicate with these back-end services using a REST API. Your main responsibilities will be designing, implementing, testing and debugging new features which will enable you to grow your skills across the whole development process.

Tech Stack:

* Node.js
* React.js
* Linux
* SQLite
* Python and Bash scripting

Daily duties:

* Developing web apps in react.js
* Developing back-end services in node.js
* Debugging in an embedded Linux environment
* Developing automated unit and component tests
* Maintaining CI/CD pipelines
* Working with QA engineers to investigate and address issues
* Participating in Agile Scrum and design meetings

What you will need:

* Experience in back-end application development with Node.js framework
* Experience in web application development using the React.js library
* Ability to develop and debug within a Linux environment

Nice to have:

* A degree in software engineering or equivalent
* Experience using test frameworks like cucumber.js and mocha
* Basic knowledge of relational and timeseries databases like SQLite and influxDB
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks
* Experience with SCADA systems or other serial communications
