Full-Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer - NI - Lisburn/Belfast

The role will be largely JavaScript development, using node.js to develop microservices on our embedded Linux platform. On the front end, creating webapps in React.js to communicate with these back-end services using a REST API.



The role includes designing, implementing, testing and debugging new features, this allows the developer to evolve and grow their skills across the entire software development process.

* Python and bash scripting



RESPONSIBILITIES

* Development of web applications in react.js
* Development of back-end services in node.js
* Debugging in an embedded Linux environment
* Development of automated unit and component tests
* Maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
* Working with QA engineers to investigate and address issues
* Participation in Agile Scrum and design meetings



ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Experience in back-end application development with Node.js framework
* Experience in web application development using the React.js library
* Ability to develop and debug within a Linux environment
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal

DESIRED CRITERIA

* A degree in software engineering or equivalent
* Experience using test frameworks like cucumber.js and mocha
* Basic knowledge of relational and timeseries databases like SQLite and influxDB
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks
* Experience with SCADA systems or other serial communications
