Lead Product Data Governance

As the lead of Product Data Governance, your role will be crucial in ensuring effective management, governance, and security of our data domain and assets. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering data products that align with our mission and values.

Primary Responsibilities:

1 Design and implement a comprehensive data management framework that supports our vision of a customer-centric and data-driven product organization.
2 Establish data quality metrics, data cataloguing and metadata management practices, data lineage, data security, and data privacy policies and processes.
3 Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data product managers, and other teams to understand their data requirements and ensure the data products meet their needs.
4 Build relationships with key stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and privacy teams, to ensure data management policies and practices comply with regulations and industry standards.
5 Provide training and support to domain owners and stakeholders to effectively apply the data management framework.
6 Develop and maintain a centralized data catalogue that provides a comprehensive view of the organization's data assets, including metadata and data lineage information.
7 Monitor and report on the quality and performance of data products and the data management framework, identifying areas for improvement.
8 Collaborate with QA/Testing teams to ensure meaningful and representative testing cycles.
9 Work closely with Architects and the Product team to establish data "API as a product" and foster collaboration.

Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
* 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, preferably in a rapidly growing organization
* Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data management frameworks that drive business value and meet customer needs.
* Proficiency in data modeling, cataloguing, and metadata management tools and techniques.
* Strong understanding of data quality, data security, and data privacy regulations and standards, with the ability to apply them effectively.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiasm for innovation and a continuous drive for improvement and staying updated with data management trends and technologies.
* Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights.
* Experience implementing data governance processes and frameworks, including data stewardship and ownership.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
