Cloud Platform Architect

Position: Cloud Platform Architect



Job Description:



We are looking for a Cloud Platform Architect to join our team at XXXX As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions that align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework's six pillars, including operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability. You will also evangelize cloud adoption and interact with stakeholders such as executive directors.



Responsibilities:



Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework's six pillars

Evangelize cloud adoption and interact with stakeholders such as executive directors

Have the confidence to take the lead and stand your ground on Security and be an advocate for the Managing Director of Cloud Platform Engineering's team

Develop applications using CI/CD & DevSecOps best practices and interact with DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipeline, and Jenkins

Have experience with AWS Security Services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Network Firewall, AWS WAF, and AWS Firewall Manager

Be knowledgeable about Networking Security Services such as Amazon VPC and AWS Transit Gateway

Be familiar with IAC Experience (CloudFormation, CDK), but not Terraform

Be experienced in architecture and seeing the implementation through

Come from a development background (python is preferable), and perform POCs but not necessarily day-to-day coding



Requirements:



Have experience as an individual contributor in cloud software engineering and architecture

Have a deep understanding of AWS Security and how to implement it

Have experience with AWS DevOps Services, Networking Security Services, and IAC Experience (CloudFormation, CDK)

Have experience interacting with stakeholders such as executive directors

Have the confidence to take the lead and stand your ground on Security and be an advocate for the Managing Director of Cloud Platform Engineering's team
