Job description

AWS DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes, Python Scripting)


* Execute on established tasks as defined by Cloud Solution Architects across multiple client environments
* Work with Cloud Solution Architects and fellow DevOps Engineers to validate technical plans and time estimates
* Provide timely feedback to customer project team on any issues or roadblocks that arise during project execution
* Utilize re-usable Infrastructure-as-Code to provision AWS services and infrastructure when possible
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for common workloads using appropriate tooling
* Implement appropriate logging solutions in keeping with client needs
* Assist with migrations that fall within the scope of the Cloud service
* Deploy and configure AWS and 3rd party services that are appropriate for current client needs
* Research and remediate infrastructure security issues to strengthen client security posture
* Troubleshoot and repair customer infrastructure; assist with escalations as necessary
* Meet with customers to gather requirements, walkthrough completed work, or other initiatives as needed
* Complete thorough documentation of existing client environments, infrastructure changes as they occur, time spent on each aspect of the project, and completed work
* Identify opportunities for customers to utilize other services and escalate to the Cloud Solution Architects
* Document time spent on customer activities; record activities daily in Jira with weekly timecard submissions in Mavenlink


* 3+ years experience deploying AWS infrastructure using IaC, including Terraform
* 3+ years of hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines
* 1+ years experience building containerization solutions (infrastructure, pipelines, automation) using docker (dockerfiles, ECS, ECS Fargate) or Kubernetes (manifests, helm and deployment tooling, KOPS, EKS, EKS, or Fargate)
* 2+ years experience migrating legacy applications to microservices
* Experience in a customer facing role working with multiple clients at one time
* Expertise with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and RDS
* Understanding of AWS security controls, network boundary controls, and related toolsets
* Occasional off-hours support, depending on client need
* AWS Associate-level Certification (required within 6 months of employment
