QA Engineer

About the role

They are looking for a QA Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by performing manual testing. You will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. The person should be based in the Helsinki Capital region or be able to come to the office in Kamppi, Helsinki when work requires - at least bi-weekly.

Responsibilities:

Perform manual testing of web applications

Develop and execute test plans and test cases

Participate in User Story reviews

Identify and report defects and issues

Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues

Participate in the continuous improvement of the QA process and methodology



Important:

They assess candidates on two factors: so-called raw traits and then professional experience.

Requirements:

* An understanding of a software development process and the role of the QA function in it.
* A good grasp of test case design.
* Experience with test case management systems such as TestRail, Zephyr, Xray or similar
* Experience in manual testing of web applications.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Overall interest in working in a start-up where things move quickly and there are always things to improve.

Beneficial:

* Experience with automation testing using tools such as Cypress, Selenium or similar
* Knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
* Experience with Jira
