Join one of the most well-known medical companies in Zurich. Our client is looking for a talented individual to take on the exciting role of driving the NextGen Data Platform to new heights. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data technology.
Main Tasks: Your main tasks involve the conception, implementation, further development, operation, and documentation of the NextGen Data Platform. This includes:

Identification of new useful technology components: You will execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilots to assess the viability of implementing new technology components.
*
Construction and operation of data platform components using technologies such as Kubernetes, Apache Stack (Kafka, Spark, Nifi, etc.), S3, and other storage technologies.
*
Responsibility for the toolset of various layers of the data platform, including the container platform, ingestion layer, data repositories, analytics toolkits, and visualization layer.
*
Definition, monitoring, and assurance of service levels.
*
Hardening and performance tuning of the data platform.
*
Collaboration with the data engineering team in developing, maintaining, and expanding data preparation services (e.g., ETL/ELT processes) from clinical and administrative source systems to the data platform.
*
Development of operational, security, and other concepts.
*
Contacts and collaboration with internal and external specialist departments, regional and national groups.
*
Taking responsibility for architecture/project programs, including designing and monitoring work packages.
*
Providing guidance and taking technical responsibility in projects and sub-projects.
*
Presenting results to stakeholders, specialist committees, and management.
*
Providing support and advice to customers from clinics, research, and administration.
Your Profile:
*
A university or technical college degree in computer science, business informatics, medical informatics, or a comparable higher IT education.
*
Experience in conceiving, implementing, and operating data platforms (Cloud GCP, Azure, AWS, or on-premise) and complex data-driven solutions.
*
Experience in query/processing methods such as SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies, as well as knowledge of event sourcing, event streaming, and event brokers.
*
Advanced knowledge of storage, virtualization, containerization, and network/software architectures.
*
Several years of professional experience in medical informatics or a related field, with experience in clinical data.
*
Very good command of both German and English languages.
*
A strong sense of responsibility for data and data protection in a sensitive environment.
*
