AWS Technical Architect

Jefferson Frank are working in partnership with a leading houshold brand that are seeking to on board x2 Software Architects that are highly experienced with AWS and Serverless technology.

You will be an integral person that works in conjunction with many teams internally and will provide architectural guidance on the current estate along with technical advice on the path forward, whilst being hands on!

The role:

1 Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to engineers, DevOps and other technical architects
2 Develop and manage a cloud infrastructure capacity plan in collaboration with engineering.
3 Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a serverless cloud technology standards policy.
4 Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end cloud-integrated systems
5 Develop and execute test plans to check cloud infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
6 Lead from a technical point of the testing phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
7 Share and co-approve technical direction and design implementations within the
8 Architectural and engineering review boards.
9 Support on a day-to-day basis decisions needs from a technical perspective on the implementation of development works.

Experience:

* Excellent knowledge of Web platforms, technologies, protocols, and publishing tools
* Hands-on experience with database integration and a range of both relational and non-relational database platforms.
* Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
* Extensive knowledge of AWS especially around AWS Serverless technologies including but not limited to: SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Step functions, SNS, S3, X-Ray, Cloudwatch, Firehose and IAM.
* Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle
* Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
* Excellent understanding of event-driven software design
