Tech Lead - Data Platform - Oslo

We are searching for someone to take ownership of our Data Platform and help grow the engineering team further!

Your work will help to digitalise the education industry, impacting everyone from school children locally in Norway, to University students around the globe

The company provide products which help children learn to code and take their first steps into formal education, to solutions which allow assessments to be submitted instantly from anywhere in the world - you will play a key role in transforming education through technology

You will be joining a small but established data environment, where you will take leadership of fellow data engineers and report into a Head of Data

Some of your responsibilities will include:

* Leading the data engineering and platform development team from a technical point of view, and offering support & guidance to members
* Be involved in recruitment processes to grow the engineering and development teams
* Working closely with a team of data scientists and engineers to develop data pipelines for learning tools
* Designing, developing, and implementing the architecture and data pipeline for ML in production

We are looking for you to bring:

* Education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative field
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development
* Professional experience with developing in Python
* Experienced with SQL and relational databases
* Experience with AWS, in particular S3, SQS, Lambda
* Familiar with Elasticsearch, Apache Spark and/or Apache Hive
