We are looking to add a manager to our data engineering team!
You will be joining a small but established data environment consisting of 10+ data engineers, scientists and analysts, where you will take leadership of fellow data engineers and help expand the team further in this area
The role will consist of 20- 40% technical and personnel management depending on your preferences, experience and the requirements, along with being a contributor to the technical environment as we look to grow our platform on AWS and expand what we can do with data

Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the data engineering and platform development team from a technical point of view, and offering support & guidance to members
* Be involved in recruitment processes to grow the engineering and development teams
* Working closely with a team of data scientists and engineers to develop data pipelines for learning tools
* Designing, developing, and implementing data architecture
We are looking for you to bring:
* Education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative field
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development
* Professional experience with developing in Python
* Experienced with SQL and relational databases
* Experience with AWS, in particular S3, SQS, Lambda
* Familiar with Elasticsearch, Apache Spark and/or Apache Hive
* Experience in a managerial or leadership role is beneficial, but experience mentoring colleagues and contributing towards strategy or team growth is also valued
