Principal Software Engineer-Richardson, TX - ($225K-$300K)

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join a distinguished defense and space manufacturing company renowned for its expertise in Software Engineering and Cyber-Security. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of ground station software, ensuring its continuous efficiency and reliability.

**For the right candidate, will assist with relocation to Texas.

Role & Responsibilities

* Oversee the maintenance and optimization of ground station software
* Collaborate in a SCRUM environment to meet the needs of customers from both the federal and corporate sector.
* Utilize your expertise in Software Engineering to develop solutions that adhere to industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

* Active and transferrable TS/SCI Clearance
* Demonstrable experience in a Linux environment, strong proficiency in C++ and Java ( exceptional command of Java is a must)
* Experience in satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling. Prior experience with flight software is a plus.
