Head of Research & Development - Oslo

We have a unique opportunity for a Head of Research and Development to join the team in Oslo!

Leading a team of engineers who are creating SaaS to enable the green transition, you will be working at the cutting-edge of technology in the renewables industry

As the power/electricity system begins to accommodate a shift towards greener energy sources, such as solar, wind, and hydro power - it is critical that this transition is smooth and scalable to allow for a more sustainable future

We develop products to help facilitate this shift by combining deep domain knowledge and modern technology

Your role can involve:

* Contributing to the overall R&D strategy - e.g. what gets built, and the delivery plan
* Facilitating all parts of the development process
* Ensure standards are upheld in specifications, production, and documentation
* Coordinating with teams across the business
* Upholding excellent communication channels between engineers, internal stakeholders, and customers

We believe the ideal candidate will have a background in software development/engineering, and experience working with products from conception to delivery

Whilst there is no requirement to participate in development, having the knowledge to contribute towards architectural and design discussions is beneficial

Some of the skills and experiences we look for include:

* Experience as a software developer/engineer
* Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C#
* Previous experience as a tech/team lead
* Ability to communicate comfortably with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Previous experience within a software product house, or the energy industry is beneficial
