Data Engineer - AWS/Python - London Bridge - Up to £60,000

A new role has become available for a Data Engineer with AWS experience, to work on green field projects . This company is an award winning start-up, working within the utilities and energy sector. They focus on utilising data platforms for clients within the industry, to help them increase customer satisfaction and make business critical savings.

This role will give you the opportunity to support numerous innovations within data engineering for this company and clients. You will join a team of engineers who work closely with the data science and machine learning team, to support analytical decisions within the organisation. As an engineer you will follow the full development cycle of engineering and analytics, using your knowledge and skills to move the projects forward. This means working with different types of structured data, cleansing data, pipeline building, ETL and data warehousing. The main technologies you will use are AWS and Python - Using libraries within Python such as Pandas, NumPy and Sci-kit learn.

This is a salaried position paying up to £60,000 and the client is open to reviewing both mid and senior level candidate profiles. Although the company office is based in London Bridge, they offer flexible and remote working options - including once they return to office after the current climate. This company also offer benefits such pension, annual leave, as well as training and development as they are always keen to drive progression opportunities for employees within.


- Solid experience working with AWS cloud.
- Strong coding experience using Python (essential)/Knowledge of SQL
- Confident with ETL tools and processes.
- Knowledge of native data tools or ecosystem tools - Spark/PySpark/Kafka
- Applicants to come from a Data Engineering/Development background.
- Strong communication skills and expert stakeholder facing ability.
