Following an immensly successful start to the current decade, this client has become a go to and trusted partner for 65'000 customers across Europe for digital transactions and credit services. Following a strategic switch to a B2B approach with their customer base, this has rapidly accelerated the growth of the business resulting in revenue doubling year on year for the past 4 years. This client is now recognised as one of the fastest growing companies in Sweden in the last year, operating with a versatile and agile product that allows customers to pay invoices with a credit card WITHOUT having to register with a financial institution. This makes their service flexible and makes it an efficient operation for all parties concerned. Furthermore, they charge a 3% fee for their services making them more affordable than factoring or loaning from a bank. In addition to this, they run a customer loyalty programme which allows customers to earn points on their spending which further incentives the use of their service.
Since switching to a B2B client base this has accelerated the success of this client. In combination with this impressive market performance they have caught the eye of investors which is mostly due to the €5 million in turnover achieved. Further complimenting this they've grown 500, 700 and 1100% in the last 3 years. All of this means they have acquired €15 million in funding since the beginning of 2021. In terms of their recent success, 2022 has been no different. This client has set out an ambitious growth plan when it comes to their development teams, bringing in talented and passionate developers that will allow them to continue their growth and become the next disruptive Fintech company to come out of Sweden.
As of now, this position is for a senior backend developer, specialising in development with Node.js. In this role you'll be working on one of their core, client facing applications completing a mix of new development communicated from product owners & technical leads, collaborating with their growing development teams around integrations for the onboarding of new clients and working with the latest features to be released for GCP. In addition, you'll be building new modules & features for their microservices architecture, supporting and advising the rest of the team where required.
You'll be building REST API's, connecting modules and features to the architecture and corresponding databases (MongoDB). Due to the new customers which are being onboarded ar a monthly rate, you will be working on making performance related improvements to the full system. Although not essential, previous experience working with Fintech roles and/or companies will be preferred to provide context and analytical insight to the rest of the team when working on projects and tasks.
* Minimum of 3 year's experience working with Node.js
* Strong understanding/experience with microservices architectures
* Interest for working with Fintech
* Experience with cloud services for data storage and deployment (Google Cloud Platform)
