Jefferson Frank are partnering with a leading Media & Digital Service client based in the centre of Helsinki. They have an international reach with a presence in over 11 countries across Europe whilst employing 1700+ employee's across the world, working with in excess of 100 Digital Services & Applications. Their managed sites & marketplaces amount millions of impressions daily which have been built with modern development technologies including frameworks such as Node, TypeScript & React in addition to their systems being Microservices & AWS driven.

The group is split into multiple verticals including housing & automotive marketplaces, financial and professional media, national consumer media in addition to content & data services for both professionals and businesses. They balance being a large player within their field whilst simultaneously being driven towards sustainability which starts with provisioning reliable media content in addition to environmental consciousness.

The Role

Hiring for their Consumer segment teams which is responsible for a combination of marketplaces, popular News pages and Comparison Engines. They have a unique user data pool across popular industry verticals including Automotive, Housing & Rental, Lifestyle Media and traditional News.

As the lead Frontend Developer you will have technical and personnel ownership responsibilities. The primary will include managing the infrastructure, working in tandem with Architects, Designers, Product Managers/Owners, Developers & Testers. You'll be an influential figure in the design process and ensuring the systems scale correctly. It will be a coding intensive role where you'll contribute to migrating legacy services and optimising the mature code base in addition to creating new services as part of the requirements gathering and delivery process.

You'll also have personnel responsibilities; managing the team of 7+ developers to maintain the high quality standards of development in addition to assisting the technical and career progression of the team, assisting with 121's, mentoring and MOB/pair programming activities when needed. With a modern tech stack/infrastructure, you'll be skilled in architecture design and developing high quality code. In addition to this you'll be familiar with AWS systems having worked with DynamoDB extensively in the past.

* Minimum 4+ years JavaScript experience (TypeScript, React)
* Fluent in Finish.
