Data Engineer

Job Description

I am looking for a successful candidate that will be part of a team which will be responsible for the correct, timely and efficient flow of data from various source systems to various endpoints.

You Will

* Develop most unit and regression tests of existing and new operational flows using Apache Nifi in coordination with the data engineering development team.
* Develop data flows based on the requirement by executing the necessary steps of data transformation, data validation and mapping using NIFI, SQL and Python.
* Develop necessary components to establish connections with various sources of data and destinations via API, SQL, S3, SFTP and any other communication protocol.
* Maintain and apply changes to existing flows running on the Nifi ETL tool.
* Prepare release plans and coordinate with the stakeholders and release engineers to ensure the proper execution.

You Have

* 3-5 years of commercial experience with ETL tools (experience with Apache NiFi will be considered an advantage).
* Experience with programming languages such as Python will be considered an advantage.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
* Good teamwork and collaboration skills

Please note this client is looking for candidates in Cyprus, therefore regular travel will be required. Please do not apply if you are not willing to work in Cyprus.
