Platform Engineer

Job: SRE/Platform Engineer

Location: Oslo

Are you a skilled Platform Engineer/SRE with expertise in AWS infrastructure? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team in the exciting world of sports streaming. Our company, a leading provider in this industry, is dedicated to delivering high-quality and immersive sports content to viewers worldwide. With cutting-edge technology and a passion for innovation, we strive to enhance the sports streaming experience for our users.

Must have:

* DevOps mentality / mindset
* Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Integration (CI) principles; we use GitLab CI.
* Proficiency in Linux, particularly OL8.
* Specialisation in AWS cloud deployments and Infrastructure as Code, including extensive experience with CloudFormation and a wide range of AWS services.
* Proficient scripting skills in Python and Shell.

Nice to have:

* Familiarity with Ansible.
* Experience with Docker.
* Proficiency in Java deployments and related tools such as Maven and POM.
* A success story related to CI/CD practices that you can share.
* A team player who enjoys collaborating in a team environment.
* Knowledge of video streaming and broadcasting.

Tasks:

* Be part of a team of platform specialists and work very closely with both our operations/support teams and development teams.
* Work in a hybrid environment, encompassing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Our new services are designed to be cloud-native, and we prioritise the use of managed services and serverless technologies to offload operational overhead.
* Maintain and continue development of our deployment tools and processes, with a focus on scalability and security.
* Take ownership of tools/libraries and actively contribute to evolving our system on the AWS stack.
* Opportunity to work on both older and brand new systems/platforms with very large traffic.
