Job Title : Assurance Manager



Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled Assurance Manager to join our team to set up a greenfield iron ore mine in the Republic of Guinea. In this role, you will operate independently, working with the Project Manager and vendors to ensure that all activities and deliverables comply with the established requirements and standards.



Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough reviews and quality assurance tasks to verify compliance with existing standards and the defined technology strategy/roadmaps.
* Provide general oversight and assurance for all technical execution activities or its suppliers conduct.
* Collaborate with project stakeholders, including the Project Manager and vendors, to ensure alignment with quality and compliance objectives.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to address any deviations or non-compliance issues.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
* Occasional visits to Guinea to provide on-site oversight and support, although the role will not involve hands-on work.
* Utilise a deep understanding of mining industry requirements and experience with greenfield mine setups (nice-to-have) to assess compliance within a mining context.
* Fluent in English, with French language skills being beneficial for effective communication.



Qualifications and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an Assurance Manager or in a similar quality assurance role.
* Familiarity with conducting reviews, audits, and quality assurance tasks to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
* Ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively with project managers and vendors.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Understanding of mining industry requirements and experience with greenfield mine setups (nice-to-have).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English. French language skills are beneficial.
