Software Engineer Cloud/Linux - SC or DV Cleared (MUST BE ACTIVE + TRANSFERABLE)

Location: Fulltime - Onsite in Gloucester

Rate: £500 - £550 per day Inside of IR35

Contract: 6 Month initial



Exposure to cloud technologies such as provisioning Linux based deployments in Azure as well as on-premise air-gapped environments. Creating automated, reliable and repeatable builds and deployment pipelines. Creating cloud solutions that are secure from the start. Working with infrastructure-as-code. Knowledge of CI/CD principles. Knowledge of all types of Linux deployments, gold images, and CIS OS lockdown techniques. Track record in developing and delivering production ready components. Good knowledge of testing approaches and best practice. Interpreting detailed specifications and translating into simple solutions. Track record in the documentation of code. Good understanding of Windows/Linux infrastructure. Ensuring development outputs are suitably integrated into release modules. Taking the lead in progressing these through the relevant stages into live service. Supporting of the release-to-service process including security and accreditation processes. Providing Technical advice and expertise on designs, solutions, tools, techniques and standards Hands on development of real world solutions Troubleshooting, investigations and incident resolution

Execute tests for build testing, SAT, FAT, UAT and Cutover testing for migration programme

Good Knowledge of Azure - specifically functions/logic apps/event grid
Bare Metal Builds of Linux - Kickstart or automation
Linux - Automation Tooling
Patching Compliance and Software deployments
Ansible
Azure DevOps Pipelines/GitHub Actions WorkFlows
Experience Working with AKS (Private Cluster) - Azure Kubernetes Services
Kubernetes Experience (AKS, RKE2)
Knowledge of CIS Hardening of Linux Operating Systems
Bash Scripting

Working in air gapped environments
Foreman
RedHat Certified System Administrator
Competent coding experience with Python
