AWS DevOps Engineer (Contract)

Location: Bergen, Norway

As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and implement best practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Your expertise will drive the optimization of our cloud infrastructure, improving performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, build, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and release processes.
* Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems.
* Ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, implementing best practices and security measures.
* Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce human error.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions to improve our technology stack.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
* Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, etc.
* Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) is highly desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
* AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional) are a plus.
