AWS Data Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a passionate Data Engineer with 1.5 to 3.5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with AWS services and have a knack for developing and optimising our data architectures. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow and integrity of data throughout our AWS-powered systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Design, construct, install, and maintain processing systems and infrastructure.
2 Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to identify and implement the most suitable solutions for data challenges.
3 Improve and fine-tune data pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
4 Work extensively with AWS services, particularly AWS IoT suite, Datalake, Sagemaker, DynamoDB, Redshift, and AWS data pipeline.
5 Monitor data pipeline work-flows, troubleshoot any data-related issues, and work to ensure data quality and integrity.
6 Create and maintain ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
7 Ensure secure and compliant handling of data in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
8 Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in AWS services.

Qualifications:

1 1.5 to 3.5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
2 Proficiency with AWS services, especially AWS IoT suite, Datalake, Sagemaker, DynamoDB, Redshift, and AWS data pipeline.
3 Solid understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
4 Experience with data modelling and big data architectures.
5 Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
6 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7 Background in Mechanical Engineering or Life sciences highly desired.

Nice to Have:

1 AWS Data Engineering or Big Data certifications.
2 Previous experience in a similar industry or business domain.
