The Role

Leading the effort to ensure the reliability of the platform in addition to supporting / building production deployments across the entire platform.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

* To maintain knowledge in public cloud architects and best practices
* Identify weaknesses in the infrastructure and implement changes
* Support delivery of software through developing self-service solutions
* Maintain continuous improvements of CI/CD solutions with advancements in the industry and develop best practice standardization's

You

To be an ideal candidate, you should have the following experience:

* 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Continuous Integration role.
* Lead/mentorship experience is preferred
* GCP Experience
* Strong IaC Experience (Preferably Terraform)
* Experience with Microservice deployment (preferably through Docker and Kubernetes)
* Alert and Monitoring experience (ELK Stack - or similar)
* CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins)
* Scripting experience (Preferably with Python, Ruby, or Bash)

CkloDevOps Engineer - South London - Serverless Projects

Due to a huge migration to go totally serverless my South London based Automotive client are on a seriously fast journey to find a skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer who can come in and really know their way around large scale solutions in the cloud. The project is set to take 5 years to complete and they are currently in year 2 which is why they need to find the right people to see them through this transformation.

So what will you be doing? You will be working on a project that has had 30 million pounds invested into it so think big! You will have access to 80% of all of the AWS services that are on offer including Amazon Connect which I know as an AWS DevOps Engineer you will love to use.

The platform will be built natively and exclusively in AWS from scratch so you will see your work transform from the ground up. You'll work with internal and external suppliers to design and build the configuration management, release, deployment and operations cycle to meet business requirements. By working with Architecture, Security and Other key teams you will create pattern based best practice approaches to delivery.

The teams are small ran to Safe Agile methodology and you will work alongside a Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Software Engineers. This role gives this person a lot of autonomy and influence over how this project will develop over tje upcoming years so if your current role has your hands tied then this could be your chance to shine.



What experience would be well matched for this role

* Terraform or Cloud formation and Python or Java
* Excellent AWS skills particularly the serverless side such as Lambda
* Someone who truly values best practice and governance
