The role is customer-facing and will entail liaising with customers to enhance current systems, plan and deliver projects, and implement new solutions. The role is varied in scope and technology and can entail the development of innovative solutions in the cloud, delivering cloud migration projects, and supporting development teams with DevOps technologies (CI/CD pipelines, config management, etc.)

Qualifications

Required:

* Experienced to a senior level with AWS
* At least one software development language (Python, NodeJS, Java, etc.)
* Experienced to a senior level with Terraform
* Experience with DevOps tooling - Ansible, Packer, Jenkins etc.
* Ability to work well with customers and in a cross-team environment.
* Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Good troubleshooting ability both within their area of expertise and also outside of their technical comfort zone i.e. ability to research for potential solutions outside of their area of technical expertise.
* Eligible for UK-security clearance

Job Description

Due to continued success and growth, wthis client are expanding their development team and are now looking for a serverless devops engineer. You will be working with architects, technologists and development teams with the responsibility to ensure that our products and solutions integrate with their clients. Additionally, the senior serverless devops engineer will take a lead role working closely with their Operations Engineering team to provide a world-class DevOps Environment capable of handling the anticipated development load.

* Architect and provide technical direction for our approach for cloud/SaaS and on-premise products
* Lead on the setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices affecting development of all new products as well as impacting existing ones. Develop these standards in coordination with peers in other divisions.
* Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards; or for existing products that they will operate within the overall cloud architecture.
* Evangelize the cloud and microservice message and architecture within the development organization and to our field organizations, partners and customers
* Research new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs.
* Create and maintain documentation

Experience Desired

* Demonstrated experience in both legacy corporate solution architecture approaches as well as experience pivoting to cloud approach.
* Experience managing infrastructure or platform teams
* Experience of application development
* In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language
* Experienced with internal and external cloud technologies, Certifications in Cloud, and track record of application migrations to cloud.
* AWS Certifications is advantageous

One of my most prominent clients is seeking a fully remote Senior DevOps Engineer. This role is perfect for someone with many years of DevOps and Cloud experience and excellent communication skills. Although this is fully remote, they would like people in these areas incase of client-related emergencies: NYC, DC, San Antonio, Dayton, Ogden, and Charleston. Due to the fact that some projects you may be working on with my client may require security clearances, this role is currently only open to US Citizens who are clearable.
