I am currently working in partnership with a UK leader in delivering technology transformation across cloud, data and digital. They specialise in delivering ground breaking solutions within the public sector. You have the chance to join them as a DevOps Engineer to further develop their DevOps function and capabilities.
As a consultant, no two days will be the same. However there are a few responsibilities that will remain consistent. Working on: CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure), Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Automation, Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and IAC (Terraform, Cloudformation).
In addition to remaining hands on, you will be tasked with working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of a project. This will require prior leadership experience and being comfortable with C-level stakeholders. In return my client will support your personal development in certifications and conferences.
My client prides themselves on being able to use cutting edge technology to deliver ground breaking solutions. To do so they look to use the right tool for the job. Therefore if you have experience in the following tools and skills, reach out:
* Cloud - AWS or Azure
* Containerisation - Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
* Configuration Management Tools - Puppet, Chef, Ansible
* IAC - Terraform, CloudFormation
* Agile - Experience with Scrum or Kanban
Certifications you can expect to achieve:
* AWS/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer
* AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect
* AWS/Azure Certified Developer
The role will involve some travel, goes without saying all expenses incurred are covered.
In return, you will benefit from a highly networked and very flat structured organisation. This means that people with an Entrepreneurial self-managed approach can really contribute to the strategic direction of the practice and be heard. In terms of package, my client can offer a competitive salary (between £50,000 - £75,000) alongside a non-contributory pension (6%), private health care and 2/3 Days remote work.
