❏ Creating a frictionless process for incident management & proper post mortem follow up.
❏ Help the teams understand and coach to build and maintain operable software that they design.
What we need for this is the following expertise/skills
➔ Big love for feedback loops in regards to observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
◆ They use modern observability tools, such as Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus...
➔ You either come from a solid background in developing (preferably Java) or System engineering. In both cases, you can also do scripting (Python/GO)
◆ In any case, Linux brings you some sort of joy
➔ You're familiar with cloud-native apps and distributed systems ;
➔ Solid knowledge of Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform with a focus on services monitoring;
➔ The following words and concepts bring a smile on your face: IaC, CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
And regarding personality, aka "Soft Skills"
➔ A troubleshooter's mindset and pragmatic to fixing it
➔ Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support teams to make tomorrow better than today
➔ You are not happy with the status quo and want to push forward. But you always agree when your manager urges that "we need to have a stable system"
Are you asking what else they are offering in addition to a competitive salary, benefits package, and equity? Hold my beer...
❏ The opportunity to make a great impact on the company, by joining it in its most robust period: the creation of a great enterprise platform.
❏ The opportunity to work in an agile and startup-minded environment surrounded by highly skilled professionals that are all using cutting edge tech, where your contribution is appreciated and your personal and career growth is guaranteed.
❏ Quality > Quantity so you should expect flexible working hours and not a typical 9 - 5 schedule.
