Role:

An opportunity to join an exciting technology start up operating within the financial and insurance sector. A company whose product is at the forefront of the AWS technology. You will utilise your advanced skills as a Developer to improve existing services develop new features which leverage the very best of AWS Serverless technologies.

Responsibilities:

The role will see you working directly with the technology team to build new features on the AWS Cloud Native platform. The role will require you to:

* Developing and implementing new features
* Be responsible for end to end delivery of your code including writing, maintaining and testing your code
* Validate new features with data driven analytics
* Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to improve best practices through knowledge share and code reviews
* Continuously integrate and deploy your code through CI/CD pipelines
* Write unit, integration and functional tests to ensure the integrity of your work

Technologies:

* AWS, AWS Lambdas
* Infrastructure orchestration (Serverless, SAM, CloudFormation)
* Python, Django
* CI/CD Pipeline (Jenkins, Codeship, Bitbuckets)
* HTML & CSS technologies
* ReactJS, React-native

Key Skills & Experience

* Advanced demonstrable experience with Python scripting
* Advanced knowledge and experience of Django
* Ability to script and deploy AWS Lambdas
* Expert knowledge of AWS Serverless and Cloud Native applications
* Previous demonstrable experience of working within Serverless architectures
* Expert code writing ability
* Comfort and competence with Git & other source management tools

* Experience of working with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling
* Experience of deploying through latest APIs

* A solid knowledge and understanding of DevOps practices
