Work as a member of an Agile team that is responsible for the build, deployment, and configuration automation tooling that is used for the continuous delivery of the core payments processing platform.


Functions of Job

Part of the agile team participating in daily stand ups, release and planning meetings

Work with the team to solve complex problems while providing a reliable payments platform service

Stays up to date with the latest technology trends

Instills urgency in the projects assigned to them and to squad members

Participate in 24x7 on call rotation with another squad member

Perform regular deployment of applications supported by squad

Work with Development Teams, Architects, and Engineers to create appropriate configurations for environments Aid in maintaining highly available and stable production systems by implementing monitoring and standardization of configurations

Troubleshoot and address infrastructure issues discovered through monitoring tools, paging, and daily production review

Work with squad to build Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts

Maintain and improve existing infrastructure

Enforce best practices for security and reliability across the organization

Work with customer's and 3rd party's operations teams as needed


5+ years experience in administration and support of server & network operations including Linux at multiple sites

3+ years experience implementing and maintaining security controls through infrastructure-as-code

3+ years experience applying DevOps principles and delivering automation solutions using a variety of tools and technologies

Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and its foundational services, including EC2, S3, VPCs, IAM, etc Experience with AWS security hardening, including Security Groups, NACLs, Inspector, etc.

Expert with network debugging tools (netstat, tcpdump, dig, strace, traceroute etc).

Strong experience with configuration management systems (e.g. Salt, Ansible, Chef)

Strong experience creating AWS Lambda functions for custom AWS Config rules

Strong experience provisioning environments using frameworks such as AWS Cloud Formation, Chef, Ansible, Puppet and Terraform

Deep understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols

Strong Experience with Linux operating systems administration including solid scripting skills in Shell or Python Real world experience with Red Hat Linux or CentOS, understanding of its fundamentals, such as DHCP, PXE, imaging solutions, packaging, kernel, etc.

Real world experience with Red Hat Satellite and upstream projects, Red Hat Directory Servers, RHEV and OpenStack

Real world experience with cloud computing including virtualization, hosted services, multi-tenancy, storage systems, hybrid cloud, etc.

Real world experience with container architecture

Knowledge of build tooling and automation, such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Travis, Quick Build, etc.

Champion of automated quality processes, including Test-Driven Development, automated integration testing, and code coverage tools

Detail oriented and follow-through

Strong communication and writing skills

Comfortable using cutting edge technologies, as the delivery team pushes the envelope on improving its own internal processes

Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
